National Nodes
RDA Europe twentytwo national nodes are key to realising the objective of consolidating a strong European research data community that enables common European contributions to the RDA work and governance, globally. Nine nodes began with the project kick-off in March 2018, the “Pioneer nodes”, with an additional thirteen joining the network during 2019 via three open calls.
Over the course of RDA Europe 4.0, the national nodes have been pursuing and piloting options for sustainability beyond the project period. Some will continue operation via a dedicated legal entity, some have already joined the regional engagement programme, but most will maintain the RDA node activities via collaboration with other initiatives and as contributions to the National Digital Agenda.
